Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam broke another record of his Indian counterpart Virat Kohli. Azam became the fastest to score 1,000 runs in t20I as a captain.
Babar after scoring a half-century in a match against Afghanistan last night surpassed Virat’s record. The 27 years old, took 26 innings to score 1,000 runs as a captain. While Virat Kohli took 30 innings to reach 1,000 T20I runs.
Followed by South Africa’s Faf du Plessis (31), Australian Aaron Finch (32), and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson (36) in the top five.
This was not the only record that Pakistan’s team broke. Pakistani wicketkeeper, Mohammed Rizwan equaled the record of former Indian captain and legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Rizwan has 39 T20 dismissals in a year to his credits. While MS Dhoni achieved a similar title in 2016 and achieved 39 T20 dismissals in that year.
