On Friday evening, it was raining sixes in the Legends League Cricket during the game between Asia Lions and World Giants.
In the first innings, it was Kevin O Brien’s bat who scored the bulk of runs made by the Giants, Kevin scored 95 including 7 fours and sixes. Mohammad Hafeez the left-arm specialist took two wickets dismissing Mustard and Corey Anderson. Kulasekara from Asia Lions bowled an economical spell also claimed two wickets.
In reply, Asia Lions lost their key opener Kamran Akmal (14) cheaply at 35. later on, Tharanga and Dilshan took the charge of run-chase and made a 88 run-partnership. Also equally helped by the cameos of upcoming batters, Hafeez (27), Asghar Afghan (14*), and Misbah (19*).
