Australia Women secures the T20I series against India Women with a 3-1 lead in the series

The fourth T20I match of the running T20I series between India Women and Australia Women ended in favour of Australia Women. The visitors Australia Women won the game by 7 runs and take a 3-1 lead over India Women in the series which also secures the series for the visitors.

In the fourth game of the series played today, India Women won the toss and elected to field first.

Batting first, Australia Women made 188/3 in 20 overs with Ellyse Perry leading Australia Women batting with her 72 not-out runs off 42 balls. Ashleigh Gardner followed Ellyse Perry with 42 runs off 27 balls while Alyssa Healy made 30(21) and Grace Harris played a fiery inning of 27*(12).

Deepti Sharma from India took two wickets in the game with Radha Yadav joining the party with a wicket. India Women conceded 6 extras to Australia Women while bowling.

India Women fought till the last ball of their inning with them being all-out at 181 runs in 20 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur made 46(30) in the game and remained the highest run scorer for the team. Richa Ghosh followed Harmanpreet Kaur with 40 not-out runs off 19 balls, but with her fiery batting too, India Women remained 7 runs sort from Australia Women in the game.

Ashleigh Gardner and Alana King took two wickets each for Australia Women in the game. Darcie Brown joined the party with a wicket. Australia Women conceded 7 extras to India Women while bowling.

Ellyse Perry was the player of the match for her 72 not-out runs off 42 balls.
