Nepal T20 League 2022 is happening in Nepal currently and the first 10 matches of the inaugural league were completed today. The 9th and the 10th matches of the league took place today in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. From the first match being played today, Far West United added two points to the league’s points table while Biratnagar Super Kings added two points to the points table from the second match of the day.
The first match of the day was between Far West United and Lumbini All Stars where Lumbini All Stars won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, Far West United made a total of 137/6 in 20 overs with Dev Khanal being the top run scorer for the team in the game with 48 runs off 42 balls.
Shadley van Schalkwyk, Harmeet Singh, Kishore Mahato and Sagar Dhakal took 2, 1, 1 and 1 wickets in the game for Lumbini All Stars.
Lumbini All Stars batting second in the game added a total of 137 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs with Gulshan Kumar Jha making 36*(24) to be the top run scorer from the team in the game.
Karan KC and Sher Malla took two wickets each in the game for Far West United while Rashid Khan, Umair Ali, Hashmatullah Shahidi and Bhuvan Karki took a wicket each in the game.
After the game got tied with both the teams making 137 runs in total in their innings, the game entered into super overs.
Batting first in the super overs, Lumbini All Stars made 19/1 in the first super over where Lahiru Milantha added 15 runs to the team including two sixes.
Chasing the target of 20 runs in the second super over, Far West United made 10 runs and lost the game against Lumbini All Stars.
Lumbini All Stars won the game in the super-overs.
Lahiru Milantha from Lumbini All Stars was the Player Of The Match. He made 34(20) while batting in the second inning of the game and also showed solid gameplay in the super over, too.
The second match of the day was between Pokhara Avengers and Biratnagar Super Kings where Biratnagar Super Kings won the toss and elected to field first.
Batting first, Pokhara Avengers made 139/7 in the over-revised game. In the team’s 19-over game, Kushal Malla was the top run scorer from the team with 37 runs off 18 balls.
Hussain Talat and Raj Nannan took two wickets each for the team in the game with Nandan Yadav, Andre McCarthy and Shahab Alam taking a wicket each in the game.
Biratnagar Super Kings made 140/4 in 17.5 overs in the second inning of the game with Hussain Talat making 50*(30) to be the top run scorer for the team in the game.
Kushal Malla and Sharad Vesawkar took two wickets each in the game for Pokhara Avengers.
Biratnagar Super Kings won the game by 6 wickets.
Hussain Talat was the Player Of The Match for his 50*(30) in batting and 2/33 in bowling.
