Malaysia and Hong Kong start their journey of the Quadrangular T20 Series with wins

Hong Kong is currently hosting a Quadrangular T20I Series in which Malaysia, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Bahrain are participating. The first day of the series had two matches; the first was between Kuwait and Malaysia and the second was between Hong Kong and Bahrain. Malaysia and Hong Kong find wins in their respective matches on the first day of the Quadrangular T20I Series.

In the first match of the series which was played between Kuwait and Malaysia, Malaysia won the toss and elected to field first. 

After being invited to bat first in the match, Kuwait started their innings with Meet Bhavsar and Ravija Sandaruwan. With Meet making 67(41) and Ravija making 1(3), the team reached a total of 158 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in the first inning of the match with multiple batters contributing runs to the team.

Vijay Unni and Rizwan Haider took 3 and 2 wickets respectively in the match for Malaysia. Fitri Sham and Muhammad Wafiq also took 2 and 1 wickets respectively joined by Sharvin Muniandy with a wicket in the wicket-taking party of the team.

Malaysia made 163/7 in 19 overs to win the match by 3 wickets. Virandeep Singh played a not-out 52-ball 58 runs inning for the team with Syed Aziz making 13-ball 30 runs. Other batters also contributed some runs each for the team to achieve the target.

Sayed Monib took three wickets for Kuwait in the match with Adnan Idrees, Mohammed Aslam and Shiraz Khan taking a wicket each.

In the second match of the series played between Hong Kong and Bahrain, Bahrain won the toss and elected to field first.

Hong Kong who got an invitation to batting first in the match made 153/4 in 20 overs with Aizaz Khan making the most 42* runs in 26 deliveries for the team followed by Nizakat Khan with 37 runs in 30 deliveries. Other batters from the team also contributed some runs each for the team to achieve the total in the 20 overs.

Sarfaraz Ali, Sathaiya Veerapathiran, Abdul Majid Abbasi and Imran Anwar took a wicket each for Bahrain in the match.

Bahrain was all-out for 138 runs in 19.1 overs against Hong Kong and Hong Kong won the match by 15 runs. Imran Anwar was the batter to score the most runs 29(15) for the team.

Ehsan Khan and Mohammad Ghazanfar took three wickets each for Hong Kong in the match with Aizaz Khan and Haroon Arshad taking 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
