Singapore finds big win over the Philippines in the SEA Games Men’s T20 Cricket Competition

The third match of the SEA Games Men’s T20 Cricket Competition concluded today with Singapore finding a big win of 87 runs over the Philippines after Singapore put the Philippines to 94/9 in the chase of 182 runs in the match.

Singapore had won the toss and elected to bat first in the match.

Batting first, Singapore made 181 runs for the loss of five wickets. Anish Paraam played not-out century innings for the team in the match. Anish made 100 not-out runs in 62 deliveries. Navin Param made a half-century in the match. Navin made 54 runs in 39 deliveries in the match and was lbw out by Henry Tyler.

Daniel Smith and Henry Tyler took two wickets each in the match for the Philippines in the match with Josef Doctora taking a wicket. The Philippines conceded thirteen extras to Singapore while bowling in the match.

The Philippines who were chasing the target of 182 runs in the second innings of the match made 94 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Jordan Alegra with 23 runs in 39 deliveries was the batter to score the most runs for the team in the match. Hern Isorena followed Jordan Alegra with 21 runs in 22 deliveries. Miggy Podosky was the only other batter from the team to score in double digits who made 10 runs in 6 deliveries.

Adwitya Bhargava and Aahan Gopinath Achar took two wickets each for Singapore in the match. Amjad Mahboob, Raoul Sharma and Anantha Krishna took a wicket each to join the wicket-taking party. Singapore conceded thirteen extras to the Philippines while bowling in the match.

With the win, Singapore leads the points table of the Group B of the series with two points followed by the Philippines without a point.
