Thailand Women win over Malaysia Women by 12 runs

The 4th match of the SEA Games Women’s T20 Cricket Competition was completed with Thailand Women taking a 12 runs victory over Malaysia Women after they bowled out Malaysia Women for 41 runs in the defence of 53 runs.

Malaysia Women had won the toss and elected to field first in the match.

Batting first, Thailand Women were able to add 53 runs as the total of their innings before they got all out in 18.3 overs. Natthakan Chantham was the player to score the most runs for the team with 13 runs in 22 deliveries. Nannapat Koncharoenkai with 12 runs in 8 deliveries was the player to follow Natthakan Chantham in the list of the top run-scorer for the team in the match.

Winifred Duraisingam took three wickets for Malaysia Women in the match with Mahirah Izzati Ismail and Nur Dania Syuhada taking two wickets each. Ainna Hamizah Hashim and Aisya Eleesa took a wicket each to join the wicket-taking party.

Malaysia Women were bowled out for 41 runs in the match while chasing the target. They were bowled out in 15.3 overs. Elsa Hunter who was the top run-scorer for the team was the only batter to score in double-digits for the team in the match with 19 runs in 32 deliveries followed by Nur Arianna Natsya with 9(23) in the top run scorer’s list for the team in the match.

Thipatcha Putthawong took three wickets for Thailand Women in the match with Nattaya Boochatham taking two wickets. Chanida Sutthiruang, Onnicha Kamchomphu and Suleeporn Laomi took a wicket each in the match for the team.

Thailand Women won the match by 12 runs. Thipatcha Putthawong was the Player of the Match who had a spell of 3.3-1-3-3 while bowling and 5(18) while batting in the match.
