Nepal Women are currently touring Malaysia for a five-match T20I series and the third match of the series concluded today with Nepal Women taking a 27-run win over the Malaysian Women.
Malaysia Women had won the toss and elected to field first in the match.
Batting first, Nepal Women made 110 runs for the loss of five wickets with captain Rubina Chhetry making the most 27 runs in 15 deliveries followed by Jyoti Pandey with 23 runs in 24 deliveries. Sita Rana Magar contributed 21 runs to the team in 35 deliveries and Indu Barma contributed 20 runs from 30 balls. Kabita Kunwar was out for two runs in seven deliveries. Kabita Joshi and Bindu Rawal both played not-out innings of 1 and 3 runs respectively in 6 and 3 deliveries respectively. Nepal Women posted a respectable target in the match.
Nik Nur Atiela took two wickets for Malaysia Women with Aisya Eleesa and Winifred Duraisingam taking a wicket each. Malaysia Women conceded thirteen extras to Nepal Women while bowling in the match.
Malaysia Women made 83 runs for the loss of four wickets in the following inning in the match. Mahirah Izzati Ismail made the most runs for the team with 44 not-out runs in 54 deliveries followed by Winifred Duraisingam with 20 runs in 38 deliveries. Wan Julia made 6 runs in 4 balls with Aina Najwa making 9 runs in 15 balls. Wan Julia made 6 runs in 4 balls and Ainna Hamizah Hashim was duck-out in 6 balls.
Kabita Kunwar, Sita Rana Magar and Indu Barma took a wicket each for Nepal Women in the match. Nepal Women conceded two extras to Malaysia Women while bowling in the match.
Nepal Women won the match by 27 runs and leads the series 2-1.
