The very first day of the Bulgaria Quadrangular T20I Series concluded with Serbia finding two wins and Bulgaria finding one win in the day.
The first match of the series was between Serbia and Turkey where Serbia batting first made 181 runs for the loss of eight wickets in Alexander Dizija’s 47-ball astonishing 91 runs. Ali Turkmen took three wickets for Turkey in the match with Mecit Ozturk and Muhammet Kursat taking two wickets each.
Turkey in response to the target of 182 runs in the match made 111 runs in 18.2 overs losing all wickets as Mark Pavlovic from Serbia grabbed four wickets in his spell of 3.2 overs. Nicholas Johns-Wickberg took three wickets and Alister Gajic and Bogdan Dugic took one wicket each for Serbia in the match. Romeo Nath made the most 38 runs in 28 deliveries for Turkey in the match.
Serbia won the match by 70 runs.
The second match of the series was between Croatia and Bulgaria where Croatia made 75 runs in 12.4 overs of the first inning losing all wickets. Wasal Bitis made the most 27 runs in 20 deliveries for the team in the match where Prakash Mishra had his fifer for Bulgaria in his 3.4 overs of the spell. Danyal Raja, Gagandeep Singh, and Zeerak Chughtai took a wicket each for Bulgaria along with Prakash Mishra in the match.
Bulgaria chased the target in 6.3 overs in the second inning of the match making 76 runs for the loss of a wicket. Zain Asif made the most 43 runs in 22 deliveries for the team in the match. Vedran Zanko took a wicket for Croatia in the match.
Bulgaria won the match by 9 wickets.
The third match of the series was between Bulgaria and Serbia where Bulgaria posted 167 runs of target to Serbia after making 166/8 in the first inning of the match in Zeerak Chughtai’s 40-ball 44 runs and Saim Hussain’s 21-ball 40 knock. Mark Pavlovic took four wickets for Serbia in the match with Vukasin Zimonjic and Nicholas Johns-Wickberg taking two and 1 wickets respectively.
Serbia in return to the target made 168 runs for the loss of five wickets in 19.1 overs in the second inning of the match and won the match by five wickets. Adrian Dunbar made the most 47 runs in 26 deliveries for Serbia in the match. Danyal Raja and Zeerak Chughtai took two wickets each for Bulgaria with Delrick Vinu taking a wicket in the match.
Serbia won the match by five wickets.
