
The second day of the Women’s T20I Inter Insular Series 2023 concluded with Jersey Women finding a 158 runs of win over Guernsey Women.
Guernsey Women had won the toss and elected to bowl first in the match of the second and final day of the series. The match was the third and last T20I match of the series.
Jersey Women made a total of 196 runs for the loss of three wickets in the first inning of the match played today. Analise Merritt made the most 58 runs in 32 deliveries for the team followed by Aimee Aikenhead with a not-out 57 runs in 53 deliveries. Grace Wetherall missed her half-century by two runs as she got caught out by Philippa S off Molly R for 48 runs in 30 deliveries.
Alice Davis, Emily Merrien and Molly Robinson took a wicket each for Guernsey Women in the match. Guernsey Women conceded twenty two extras to Japan Women while bowling in the match.
Guernsey Women made 38 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 13 overs of the second inning of the match. Rosie Davis made the most 9 runs in 10 deliveries for the team in the match. Due to having an injured player, Guernsey Women ended the second inning for 38/9 on the board in 13 overs.
Flo Tanguy and Rose Hill took two wickets each for Japan Women in the match with Chloe Greechan, Erin Gouge and Grace Wetherall taking a wicket each. Japan Women conceded fourteen extras to Guernsey Women while bowling in the match.
Japan Women won the match by 158 runs.
With the win, Japan Women concluded the series with a 3-0 win over Guernsey Women Team.
