The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made the decision to prevent national cricketers from attending Haris Rauf’s wedding in Islamabad. The PCB spokesperson cited unfavorable weather conditions and the unavailability of flights for the players’ return to Karachi as the reasons behind this decision.

Haris Rauf’s wedding without Pakistani cricketers

Initially, several national team players were set to travel to Islamabad on the scheduled day and intended to return to Karachi on Saturday afternoon. However, due to the circumstances, the players are now unable to attend Haris Rauf’s wedding. Despite their absence, the players wanted to convey their heartfelt wishes to their teammate through a recorded video message.

Meanwhile, the national cricket team’s training camp in Karachi will conclude today as planned. Subsequently, the team will depart for Colombo via Dubai tomorrow. Pakistan is gearing up for a two-match Test series set to commence on July 16.

The PCB’s decision to restrict the players’ attendance at the wedding emphasizes the priority placed on the team’s preparations for the upcoming series. With the challenging travel conditions and the importance of ensuring sufficient time for training and acclimatization, the PCB has chosen to prioritize the team’s commitment to their cricketing obligations.

While the players may be unable to personally celebrate this joyous occasion with Haris Rauf, their well wishes and support will undoubtedly be felt. The team remains focused on their upcoming series against Sri Lanka and is determined to put forth their best performance on the cricket field.
