The Trinbago Knight Riders defeated the Jamaica Tallawahs by two runs in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023.

The Tallawahs won the toss and chose to field first, but they were unable to contain the Knight Riders’ batsmen. Martin Guptill and Mark Deyal scored 58 runs for the first wicket, and though the Knight Riders lost some wickets in the middle overs, they still managed to post a challenging 142/8.

The Tallawahs’ chase got off to a good start, but they lost four wickets in the first ten overs to find themselves in trouble. Waqar Salamkheil and Andre Russell took five wickets between them, and the Tallawahs were able to score only 140/7.

The win for the Knight Riders keeps them in the third position of the CPL table, while the Tallawahs remain in fourth place.
