Jonny Bairstow scored 73 runs off 41 balls with 6 sixes and 5 fours in the first innings. He was dismissed by Mitchell Santner in the 12th over.
Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone both scored 26 runs. However, no other batsman was able to score more than 20 runs.
New Zealand’s spinners, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi, were the pick of the bowlers, taking three and two wickets each respectively.
In the second innings, New Zealand chased down the target of 176 with six wickets in hand. Tim Seifert top-scored with 48 runs, while Glenn Phillips made 42 runs and Mark Chapman remained unbeaten at 40.
This was a disappointing result for England, who were looking to win the series 3-1, but New Zealand were able to level the series with two back-to-back wins in the series.
Both teams now will face each other in an ODI Series, starting from September 8 at Cardiff.
