The Melbourne Stars have completed the signings of two highly talented Victorian youngsters, Olivia Henry and Milly Illingworth.

Henry, a right-handed batter, returns to the Stars after being a part of the squad in WBBL|08 and making her debut against the Heat last season. She has also developed her off-spin and recently took 3-5 against the Renegades Academy.

Illingworth, a quick bowler, is one of the most exciting talents in Australian cricket. She represented Australia at the Under 19 World Cup in South Africa earlier this year and is known for her raw pace and energy in the field.

Stars General Manager Blair Crouch is thrilled to welcome two of Victoria’s brightest talents to the squad.

“I’m rapt to see Olivia and Milly commit to the Stars ahead of this year’s WBBL,” Crouch said. “The experience they will both gain from being a part of the squad will be invaluable and we believe they can play important roles for the Stars, not only this year but well into the future.”

Henry and Illingworth will join a Stars squad that includes international stars such as Meg Lanning, Ellyse Perry, and Mignon du Preez, as well as experienced Australian players such as Annabel Sutherland and Katie Mack.
