Did you know that Alzarri Joseph holds the record for the best bowling figures in IPL history? Back in 2019, while representing Mumbai Indians, Joseph delivered a remarkable performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad. During the match held in Hyderabad, Joseph bowled 3.4 overs, conceding merely 12 runs while taking a whopping 6 wickets, at an impressive economy rate of 3.27.

Joseph’s exceptional spell dismantled the Sunrisers’ batting lineup, as he dismissed top-order batsmen David Warner and Vijay Shankar, followed by middle-order batsman Deepak Hooda. He then went on to dismiss Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Siddharth Kaul, sealing the entire SRH lineup for a mere 96 runs.

This outstanding performance played a pivotal role in Mumbai Indians’ victory by a margin of 40 runs. Despite his incredible achievement, Joseph had a limited role in the 2019 season, featuring in only three matches and remaining wicketless in the remaining two.

In the ongoing IPL season, Alzarri Joseph is showcasing his skills while representing Royal Challengers Bangalore. With his phenomenal bowling prowess, he continues to be a standout performer in the tournament, leaving an indelible mark on the IPL history books.
