The IPL 2024 clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) witnessed both on-field action and off-field controversy, making headlines across cricketing circles. The match was not only marked by impressive performances but also stirred debates, particularly surrounding Ian Bishop’s commentary on Virat Kohli’s batting.

While praising Kohli’s fifty off 39 balls, Bishop faced backlash on social media, with fans deeming it inadequate for a T20 match. The mismatch between Bishop’s praise and Kohli’s performance fueled discontent among fans, prompting a wave of criticism on various social media platforms.
Acknowledging his mistake, Bishop demonstrated humility by appreciating the feedback from fans. Despite the controversy, his response reflected a willingness to accept criticism and learn from it.

In response, RR began their chase with a flying start, propelled by Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson’s partnership of 148 runs. Samson played a crucial role, scoring a quick 69 runs off 42 balls before being dismissed by Mohammed Siraj. Buttler’s sensational century, marked by a maximum, powered RR to their fourth consecutive win in IPL 2024, showcasing their strong form in the tournament.
