The Indian cricket team, which arrived in Nagpur for the first ODI against England, was subjected to an unprecedented situation on the first day of their visit: an Indian cricket team member of their support staff was detained at the entrance of the hotel by local police, who misidentified him as an overzealous fan, to the bewilderment of players and officials as they alighted from the team bus.
In a now-viral video circulating on social media, Raghu can be seen trying to explain his role within the team while security personnel denied him entry. The misunderstanding led to a brief but awkward exchange before the officers realized their error and allowed him through. Although the moment sparked some laughter, it also left the authorities embarrassed.

Team India Gears Up for England ODIs
With the ODIs against England to start on February 6, Team India landed in Nagpur with a high spirit. Led by Rohit Sharma, the team includes all the big names like Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant, who are all set to continue their dominant form after a successful T20I series. Interestingly, the team has remained almost the same as that of India’s ICC Champions Trophy, except for one change – Harshit Rana replacing the injured Jasprit Bumrah.
India’s ODI Squad:
Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill (VC), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja.
The ODI series follows India’s emphatic 4-1 victory over England in the recently concluded T20I series. The outstanding performers for the final victory were Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakravarthy, as India won the game at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Now that the focus has been shifted to the 50-over format, India will continue their momentum against the English side.
As the first ODI is all set to roll, everyone is going to wait for the changed lineup of India and how it is going to adjust to this change in format. The first match will definitely be a spectacular one with the Englishmen wanting to bounce back and Indians targeting another thumping performance.
