Trinbago kicked off the CPL 2020 edition with a four-wicket win against Warriors with the help of Sunil Narine who took two wickets and scored a half-century. He repeated his performance in the next match and hit another fifty in the match against Jamaica Tallawahs next up. Trinbago won by seven wickets to certify they were the only team to win both of their initial matches.
