Australia Women are currently touring India which consists of 5-match T20I series between the hosts India and the visitors Australia.
While Australia Women started the series with an easy win over India, India had broken the unbeaten streak of Australia Women in T20Is in 2022 in the second game of the series to level the series 1-1. But, Australia Women have taken another win over India to lead the T20I series 2-1. Australia Women win over India Women in the third game of the series by 22 runs.
In the third match, India Women won the toss and elected to field first.
Australia Women batting first in the game made 172/8 in 20 overs as Ellyse Perry remained one star for the team with 75 runs off 47 balls. Grace Harris was the next star for the team who played a power-hitting inning of 41 runs off 18 balls. While Beth Mooney made 30(22), the visitors had 7 players in the game who couldn’t touch the double-digit runs while batting in the game.
Renuka Singh, Anjali Sarvani, Deepti Sharma and Devika Vaidya were the four wicket-taking bowlers from India Women, in the game, who took double wickets each. India Women conceded two extras to Australia Women while bowling.
India Women were able to make 151/7 in their 20 overs of batting in the game. Shafali Verma had her half-century in the game as she made 52 runs off 41 balls. Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma made 37(27) and 25(17) in the game. Other batters from India Women couldn’t touch the mark of double-digit runs in the game.
Darcie Brown and Ashleigh Gardner took double wickets each in the game for Australia Women. Megan Schutt and Nicola Carey joined the party with a wicket each. Australia Women had conceded 12 extras to India Women while bowling.
Ellyse Perry who made75 (47) in batting and bowled an over conceding 2 runs to India Women in the game was the player of the match in today’s match.
