Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has applied for a No Objection Certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board ahead of the Big Bash League 2026–27 season.
The development was confirmed on October 26, 2026, during Bangladesh’s domestic D3 tournament auction.
Mustafizur Could Represent Melbourne Renegades
BCB president Tamim Iqbal confirmed that Mustafizur and leg-spinner Rishad Hossain had requested clearance to participate in the Australian competition.
If the necessary arrangements are completed, Mustafizur could represent Melbourne Renegades in what would be his first Big Bash League season.
Rishad Hossain is expected to return to Hobart Hurricanes after previously representing the franchise.
The upcoming Big Bash League is scheduled for December and January, creating potential scheduling overlaps with Bangladesh’s domestic competitions.
Mustafizur’s participation remains subject to the necessary approval.
No final clearance or confirmed playing availability was announced in the October 26 report.
