St Lucia Kings defeated Antigua & Barbuda Falcons by four runs in a thrilling third match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, Saint Vincent, on August 9.
The St Lucia Kings posted an imposing 187/8 in 20 overs, powered by a sensational 82 off 51 balls from Andries Gous. The Falcons came remarkably close in the chase, finishing on 183/7 after 20 overs.

The St Lucia Kings were sent into bat and made an excellent start, reaching 53/1 during the powerplay.
Andries Gous was the standout performer. The opener smashed 82 runs from just 51 deliveries, hitting six fours and six sixes at a strike rate of 160.78.
Gous controlled the innings through the middle overs and reached his half-century from only 31 balls.
Kamil Pooran provided an explosive start with 14 off six balls, while Ackeem Auguste contributed 18 from 20.
Captain Roston Chase then added a quick 10 off six, while Darren Nedd and Matthew Forde supplied valuable runs during the closing stages.
The Kings finished strongly, with Shadley van Schalkwyk unbeaten on 10 off four and McKenny Clarke unbeaten on 15 off five, including two sixes.

Falcons Launch Fast Chase
Antigua & Barbuda Falcons responded aggressively.
Rahkeem Cornwall smashed 27 from just 13 balls, including three sixes, before Maheesh Theekshana dismissed him.
Evin Lewis then took control of the chase.
The left-hander blasted 48 from only 24 balls, striking five sixes and two fours. His innings came at a remarkable strike rate of 200.
Tim Robinson also played an important role, scoring 30 from 20 balls, as the Falcons reached 100 in only 9.5 overs.
At the halfway stage, Antigua & Barbuda were firmly in contention.
Falcons Fall Just Short
After Lewis and Robinson departed, Tajinder Singh attempted to keep the chase alive.
He scored 21 from 21 balls, but the required rate continued to rise.
Captain Fabian Allen produced a late surge, remaining unbeaten on 28 from 17 balls with two fours and a six.
The Falcons entered the final over needing a difficult but achievable target, but the St Lucia Kings held their nerve.
